Deliver the artwork digitally, via mail or FTP. Besides the artwork we need measurements of the artwork and the placement of the print on the garment. If the artwork is in pixel format (not vector) we can make the print smaller but not bigger, the best are if the artwork is in the actual size of the print (in cm). If the artwork is in vector format, we can make the actual size for the print. Just let us know the measurements in cm.

Screen Print

Multicolour prints are separated in special programs for separations for screen-printing on textile. After the separation is done, a film is made, one for each colour. The films are archived for future use.

The film is placed on an unexposed screen, after the exposure the screen will let ink thru just where the black on the film blocked the exposure.

There are thin and thicker screens, thicker mesh will let more ink on the garment and thinner mesh is for a smoother feeling and smaller details.

It's important to keep the screen/mesh clean and tight so the print appears as it should on the garment.

Then there is ink, and there are a lot of different types and qualities of ink on the market.

We work with different types of bases to create different effects like transparency, glitter, extra thick (High density) extra thin, suede-feeling etc.

To get ink trough the mesh in the screen a squeegee is used, the angle, hardness and speed of the squeegee together with the mesh in the screen is the factors that makes most of the structure of the surface of the print.

It's important that the garment is "stuck" to the pallet and don't move between the prints.
When a multicolour print is made, a "flash" is common between the different colours.

Finally the ink is curing in the dryer for a minute or two in 160°C, garment is packed and shipped!

Enjoy.
